This is a very nice Homer Laughlin decorative plate commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Corsicana, Texas. The dates on the plate are 1868 to 1963. The church, still in existence, is now 136 years old.The plate is a lovely milk white with a gold metallic edging. The center of the plate has a nice black and white picture of what, I"m guessing, was the original church building. Underneath the picture is written, "Pleasant Grove Methodist Church - 1968-1963 - Corsicana, Texas." The rim of the plate is a raised pattern of fruit and leaves. The back side of the plate has a short history and information about the church. The plate is stamped with the Homer Laughlin logo and states "Eggshell Theme - Homer Laughlin." World Wide Art Studios in Covington, Tennessee, apparently did the printing on the plate. Please include $5.50 which includes shipping and insurance in the U.S. I add new items to my shop frequently.
