Pro Quarterback Magazine - July 1979 - Len Dawson
for item Mag41
This is a great vintage magazine for the football fan. It is the July 1979 issue.
Some of the articles of interest: Pro Football: King of the Hill?, Larry Grantham: The Unlikely Linebacker, Rey Schoenke: Football & Politics Do Mix, AFC Roundup, The 1972 Draft: The Rich Got Richer, and more.
There is a center foldout of Floyd Little - NFL"s Top Rusher.
The article about Len Dawson"s decision to continue playing for two more years for the Kansas City Chiefs gives insight into what led to that decision.
The back inside cover has a full page color advertisement for Champion Spark Plugs featuring Bobby Isaac, NASCAR champion, and his car. He took his K&K Insurance Dodge to Bonneville Salt Flats to break a pair of world speed records - which he did!
The magazine has surface wear to both the front and back cover, but is still bound together well. The front has been torn and has tape on the tear. There is a three inch tear on the lower binding edge where the cover is folded. The interior pages are in very good condition - no writing or dog-ears. Many of the pages are on a tan color paper and the pictures make them look darker than they really are.
