If you like movie nostalgia, then you will love this August, 1978, Saturday Evening Post. It is a Special Issue titled "50 Years At The Moves." If you have aspirations of being a movie star, there is even an article titled "How to Break Into the Movies." Funny-man Woody Allen graces the cover of this issue.
Its hard to know exactly where to start telling about this issue. It is full of old pictures of movies stars - some like Marlon Brando - has current pictures (as of 1978) and in his younger days. Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman fans are treated to several pictures of both.
Many of the stars have one page articles about them. Some of the featured: Gary Cooper, Bing Crosby, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Clark Gable, Cary Grant & Ingrid Bergman.
Top Billing has two pages of old movie posters - "Duel In The Sun" is one.
The article "Two's Company" has pictures of some of the movie's best duos - Roy Rogers & Tigger, Bob Hope & Bing Crosby, Laurel & Hardy, Carole Lombard & Clark Gable, and more.
One of the features of this issue was a pull-out of Rockwell Movie Covers for framing. Unfortunately, someone has already removed them (not me) - so pages 69 through 72 are missing. Since the pull-out was pictures, there is no text missing.
This magazine is in very good condition. There is some minor damage to the outer front cover corners and a couple of dings on the binding edge. The interior pages are extremely clean - no writing or dog-ears.
This is a great piece of Hollywood Memorabilia!
