Texas Drivers Handbook - Copyright September 1970

The dreaded Texas Drivers Handbook. I studied mine until the pages were tattered and still flunked the driving portion of the test because the officer said I was too cautious! Bet they don't have many opportunities to say that today!

As you can see in the photo, Carl has written his name on the front cover and as he daydreamed through his Driver's Ed class, he also doodled a motorcycle on the front inside cover and a car on the back cover. Wonder if Carl passed HIS test!

Carl has also colored in the border of Texas with black marker and put a few dots on the state - maybe places he planned to get speeding tickets. Only Carl knows!

The front cover has a few spots on it, but the cover is in good condition otherwise. It has darkened some with age. The interior is very clean - no writing, stains or dog-ears - leading me to believe Carl didn't really read the book very much - if at all. One page does have a small bend on the page edge, but it is small.
