This is a 1938 trigonometry book that was for advanced high school and first year college students. This book is VERY used. All through the book are notes like "learn" and "study this" along with many calculations in the margins. I got a headache just flipping through the book! As you can see from the photos, this book has seen better days, but to think it was used about 65 years ago and still around is amazing to me. Do the math, and you'll find that the person who used this book is likely around 84 years old. There is a name and address on the inside front cover with the phone number 2722 - only four digits! The pages in this book are actually held together with string - not staples or glue like publishers use now! The outer cover is worn, but is still well-bound. The outer edges of the book are very dark with age and crime it has collected over the 60+ years. The interior has writing all through it, as stated (see photo). In some areas of the book, when opened, you can actually see the string running through the backs of the pages. The pages have darkened with age, but are not brittle. There are no dog-ears. Some may ask why I would list an item in this condition. My answer is - there is someone (and maybe only one) out in Internet Land that would probably LOVE to have this book! I think it is wonderful that the book has survived this long intact! This might make a nice gift for an up and coming math major!
