University Of San Carlos, Guatemala Summer School

This book is full of all the information you would need if you were wanting to attend the University Of San Carlos in Guatemala back in 1949. It includes estimates of expenses, names of the professors, the courses available and more.

There is a map of the city included that is not attached to the book (see photo). The back of the book is full of advertisements for local businesses. I found it interesting that few list a phone number (probably didn't have one) and the ones that do are only four numbers long. The first full page advertisement is for Pan American World Airways which is very vintage and nice!

The outer cover has some wear and has darkened with age but is still intact and bound well. As you can see, the owner has written his name on the front cover and he has underlined some areas inside the book in pencil and circled the classes he was going to take.

I'm thinking this might be the father of Carl who wrote his name on the Texas Driver's License book I have listed. Like father - like son!

The interior pages are in good condition - no tears or dog-ears, but has the pencil marks as stated above.
