Postcard - Desert Souvenir Supply, Boulder City, Nevada
for item Postcard28
This listing is for a vintage postcard - one you would purchase and send to a friend or relative to brag about the Keno jackpot you just won.
The front of the card shows a "caller" yelling out "EeeO-Leven." A man stands up and yells, "KENO!" to the dismay of the surrounding players. The bottom of the card says "I won" and has a blank where you can put the amount of money you won. Underneath this is another blank for you name. Under this line, it says "Put your John Henry here."
On the lower right side of the card is a copyright by Curt Teich & Co., Inc. with the number CB-H2152.
The back of the card says "Desert Souvenir Supply, Boulder City, Nevada" and "C. T. Art-Colortone."
The postcard is in very good condition. The colors on the front are still bright. There is one very light stain on the lower left side of the card that looks darker in the photo than it really is. The back side has darkened slightly from age. There is very minor edge wear.
I do not have an actual date on this card, but it is very old as the place for the postage stamp says to add a "one cent stamp." It has been a very long time since a card could be mailed for that, so I am guessing this might be from the 1940's.
