Vintage Postcard - Tichnor Brothers, Boston, Mass.
for item Postcard52
I love this postcard! It shows a down-on-his-luck fellow looking up at a bird in the nearby tree. As you can see, the little bird has made a deposit on the manís hat. Realizing that perhaps he has not received the same treatment as one in a better financial situation tells the birdie, "And for the rich you sing!"
The only identifying marks on the postcard are the number 784 in the upper right corner and the number 78971 in the lower left corner. The card has a linen finish and was made by Tichnor Brothers, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts. The postcard is in very good condition with some minor wear to the edges and corners. I cannot verify the age of this postcard, however, because of the linen finish, artwork, and the age of other postcards received with this one that it is Circa 1920ís.
