40 Songs For Voice and Piano, Vol. 3 by Henry Purcell

This is a nice vintage book of music by Henry Purcell titled "40 Songs For Voice and Piano – Volume III." Realization of the Figured Bass and editing by Sergius Kagen. International Music Company of New York City published the book that has a 1958 copyright.

Some of the songs include The Fatal Hour, Bess of Bedlam, and Sound the Trumpet. See photos to see the full contents. There is also a preface discussing the music at the beginning of the book by Sergius Kagen.

The book is in very good condition – inside and out. The interior pages of all music are clean. One page has been dog-eared – "I’ll Sail Upon The Dog Star." There were also pencil notes on this song, which have been erased. The word "Thimk" is written in the upper left corner and could not be removed and is in the margin.   The previous owner's name has been rubber-stamped on the front cover.  There are 38 pages in the book.
