This is a holiday magazine titled "Good Housekeeping’s Family Christmas Book – 1970 Edition." Inside it, you’ll find lots of patterns for crafts and projects, as well as, lots of recipes just perfect for the upcoming Christmas holiday.
In the article "Decorate with a Medley of Wreaths" you’ll find an assortment of wreaths made from nuts, holly leaves, tissue paper, pie tins, and more. The psychedelic wreath painted with fluorescent paint is a tell-tale sign that we’re dealing with the nostalgic 1970’s here!
Don’t miss the Christmas tree decorated with ornaments made of brightly colored felt. Instructions for the ornaments are included, as well as, those for Greeting Cards made from felt.
Some of the delicious recipes include Chicken Breasts Wellington, Pumpkin Mousse, Eggs En Gelee, Apricot Candy Crescents, Pecan Pralines, Orange Almond Caramels, Lebkuchen, Brussels Sprouts with Baby Carrots, and many more.
Overall the magazine is in very good condition. The outer cover shows some minor wear to the edges and corners. A small piece of the upper right corner is missing as you see from the photo. Also, there is a message to return the magazine written on the lower left side of the front cover. The interior pages are very clean with no dog-ears. There is no writing in the magazine except for an arrow in ink pointing to one of the decorations mentioned – no doubt one that got made for Christmas!
