Family Circle to the rescue again with this issue titled "Family Circle Great Ideas Christmas Helps" dated October, 1978. There are 250 gifts to make, as well as, great recipes, decorations, and party menus from around the world.

The very pretty red gingham ribbon wreath is just the thing to add a country touch to this year’s Christmas holiday. You’ll find the instructions for making it in the issue. Or how about making the beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Chest for someone special!

If you like bright colors, then you’ll enjoy the lap quilt designed by Gail Diven which she calls "Colors From A Crayon Box." The crocheted afghan will measure 46"x60" when completed.

Some of the other projects included Rib Crochet Hat, Ribbon-Trimmed Scarf, Calico Eyeglass Case, Decorated Notepaper & Box, Burlap Potholder, Snowman Tee Skirt, Translucent Lace-Trimmed Ornaments, and many more.

There is no shortage of recipes for you to try. Here is a sampling: Carrot Cake, Salmon Pate, Amaretto Eggnog, Cantonese Marbles, Cherry Balls, Houskove Knedliky (Bread Dumplings), Ragout Soup (from Yugoslavia), Almond Stuffed Prunes (from Hungary), Sweet ‘N’ Sour Red Cabbage, Herbed Peas & Carrots, and many, many more.

Overall the magazine is in good condition – inside and out. The outer cover has some wear to the edges and corners. The upper right corner has been bent at one time and there is a small tear on the lower binding edge. The interior pages are very clean with no writing. The first several pages have a tiny dog-ear on the lower corner.

Please include $2.75 for Media Mail shipping in the U.S. Add an additional $1.65 if you would like the shipment insured.
