Craft Publications - Purse Strings Macrame Handbags

This book is will certainly jog your memory back to when we were all making just about everything from Macrame – bead curtains, hanging tables, plant hangers, wall hangings, and yes, purses! The title of the book is "Purse Strings – Macrame Handbags . . . Handmade By You." Craft Publications, Inc. published the book that has a 1976 copyright.

The first few pages of the book have well written instructions on how to make the knots needed to make these purses, along with very clear illustrations. The patterns follow for purses using wooden & bamboo rings for handles. There is a nice mix of small and large purses including shoulder bags and clutches.

The book is in excellent condition – inside and out. The cover has some minor wear to the edges and corners. A name has been "blacked-out" by a marker on the front cover. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. There are 23 pages of instructions and pictures.
