This is a publication titled "Tarrant County Government – A Citizens’ Handbook." Tarrant County is the home of Fort Worth, Texas. The book was published to inform citizens of Tarrant County about the services the Country provides for them. From the acknowledgement at the front of the book, it appears The League of Women Voters was responsible for the printing of this book.
Some of the contents include County Organization, Finance, Public Health, Education, Administration of Justice, Popular Control of Government, Trends in County Government, and more. Included with the book are two loose-leaf pages – one, the League of Women Voters of Tarrant Country 1976-1977 Proposed Budget and two, a 1975 list of Community Services the League provided.
The book is in very good condition – inside and out. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. There is a little edge wear on the two loose-leaf pages.
