This is a very nice Postcard Booklet featuring twelve postcards of the Ming Tombs in Peking. Peking Publishing House published the full color cards. There is no copyright listed.
Each page in the book has a postcard that can be removed by a perforated line that connects it to a smaller picture on the right side of the page. The postcards are designed on the backside like regular postcards that can be mailed – divided where there is a place to write a message and one to write the address. There is also an area for a postage stamp.
Some of the postcards feature a Stone Carving Group lining the Sacred Way; White Marble Coffin Platform in the Back Hall; Gold Crown and Phoenix Coronet; Sacred Way, Ting Ling; Entrance to the Underground Palace; and more.
The Ting Ling features over 3,000 funeral objects excavated that are wrought in gold, silver, jade, porcelain and lacquer. The beauty reflects the high artistic taste of the Chinese working people.
The Postcard Book is in very good condition – inside and out. The front cover has a fracture across the left side of the larger picture. The interior cards are in excellent condition – no writing or bends. None of the postcards have been removed or bent at the perforated line. One postcard has five small smudges on the back side.
