This is a very nice book by George Dolan titled "Come Quick! Rodger’s Had A Fit!" The writing is taken from the humorist Mr. Dolan’s many years as a front-page columnist for the Fort Worth Star Telegram Newspaper. Harold Maples did the cartoons in the book.
Leonard Sanders, author of The Wooden Horseshoe, wrote the introduction to the book. Branch-Smith, Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas, published the book that has a 1970 copyright.
To add to the value of this book, it is a First Edition and is hand-signed by George Dolan on the first inside page. (see photo)
The book is in excellent condition – inside and out. The outer paper cover has some wear to the edges and corners. The hardback cover is in very good condition. The interior pages are in excellent condition with no dog-ears. I did find a few pencil check marks by some of the stories. I attempted to erase these; however, the marks would not erase completely. All are in the margin or in a blank area of the page and are not intrusive to the text on the pages.
This is a nice piece of Fort Worth, Texas, memorabilia!
