Postcard - You're Always On My Mind - Hillbilly Couple

This is a very unusual postcard – both in the size and the way it was made. The front side of the postcard shows a hillbilly woman with her foot on the head of a submissive hillbilly man. The quote states, "You’re Always On My Mind."
This card is to Sharon from Bobby letting her know that he is away attending the funeral of his great grandmother. The postcard is addressed to Fort Worth, Texas, and is postmarked from Shelbyville, Tennessee, in August 1960. There is also a very nice 4˘ stamp showing the date of July 4, 1960, at the top of it.
The images on the front are heavily embossed giving lots of detail and depth to the picture and the lettering. Another unusual aspect, the card itself is a very heavy cardboard with the picture glued to it. The glue has let go on both ends of the postcard. It could be re-glued with a non-acid glue such as that used for making scrapbooks.
The card is in good condition with some wear to the edges and corners. The back side has turned a bit darker due to age. The postcard measures approximately 4x5" in size.
