This book is an AIA Guide To New York City – Third Edition by Elliot Willensky and Norval White. AIA stands for American Institute of Architects. The book is a First Edition with a copyright of 1988. Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Publishers, of San Diego, New York & London published the book.
You will find just about all you need to know about the New York area in this book. The contents include sections for all of Manhattan (including the Villages), The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and New York City. Many pictures are included of historical homes and buildings in the area. Maps are also included.
The opening two pages features a wonderful aerial view of the New York City area. The World Trade Center Twin Towers stand proudly to the left side of the photograph. There are eight other references to the Twin Towers in the index and other pictures in the book.
The book is in very good condition – inside and out. The outside soft cover has some minor wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. The book is a bit of an odd size – 10x5" in size and has 999 pages including the indexes.
