This is a program from State Fair Music Hall of Dallas, Texas, for the production of "Gypsy." It starred Kay Ballard, Jack Cassidy and Julienne Marie in the lead rolls. The musical was produced Tom Huges and directed by Gus Schirmer, Jr.
The program gives short bio’s of all the main characters that include Jan Tanzy, Phil Leeds, Anne Russell, Peg Murray, Merle Letowt, and James Pompeii.
The back pages of the program include bio’s of the executive staff of the State Fair Musicals that includes Thomas L. Hughes - Managing Direct; R. L. Thornton – President; James H. Stewart – Executive Vice-President & General Manager; James Leon – Musical Director; Toni Beck – Choreographer; Peter Wolf – Art Director; and more.
There is no year printed on the program, however, in the write-up about Thomas L. Hughes, it mentions this being the 1962 season.
The back inside cover has a nice preview of the upcoming show "The Merry Widow" that starred Miss Patrice Munsel and Franz Lehar.
Overall, the program is in good condition. The outer front cover has some wear to the edges and corners. The upper right corner of the cover and all pages has been bent. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears.
This is a nice piece of Dallas Music Hall memorabilia!
