Ad - Boeing B-29 Superfortress - U. S. Fidelity
for item Ad85
This is a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Boeing – designers of the B-29 Superfortress, the Flying Fortress and the new Stratocruiser. The ad shows a picture of the C-97 Army transport which had an average speed of 383 miles an hour with tail winds averaging approximately 45 mph.
World War II was still raging when this advertisement was printed. Underneath the picture it says, "Finish the Fight – with War Bonds."
The reverse side features advertising for U.S.F.&G. – United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland.
The page measures 6 7/8" x 10". It is in very good condition and ready for matting and framing - no rips or tears other than the binding edge where the page was removed from the binding staples. There is some minor wear to the lower edge and corners. The page could also be laminated so both sides can be enjoyed.
