Ad -- New York Central Railroad - Matson Lines Cruises
for item Ad86
This is such a cool advertisement dated April, 1945, for New York Central System Railroad. The ad shows a cross-section of the train’s cars and states, " Who’s Who on the ‘Century" . . . calling the roll aboard the flagship of New York Central’s wartime fleet." These trains were used to move war traffic.
The reverse side features advertising for Matson Lines to Hawaii and the South Pacific. "Delights to come."
The page measures 6 7/8" x 10". It is in very good condition and ready for matting and framing - no rips or tears other than the binding edge where the page was removed from the binding staples. There is some minor wear to the lower edge and corners. The page could also be laminated so both sides can be enjoyed.
