Ad - Hamilton Watches - Bell & Howell Movie Camera
for item Ad88
This is such a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. World War II was still raging when this ad was printed. The message if from Sally, a graduating Senior, telling her parents that even though she has always wanted a watch – to wait until later to get her one. Hamilton was using its factories to make navigating timepieces used in the War effort.
The reverse side features advertising for Bell & Howell Company of Chicago, Illinois. The ad features a picture of film star, Betty Hutton, and plugs her Paramount picture, HERE COMES THE WAVES. The message, "Here’s Hollywood’s Secret for Getting the Best Personal Movies!"
The page measures 6 7/8" x 10". It is in very good condition and ready for matting and framing - no rips or tears other than the binding edge where the page was removed from the binding staples. There is some minor wear to the lower edge and corners. The page could also be laminated so both sides can be enjoyed.
