This is such a nice vintage advertisement dated April, 1945, for Bell Telephone Systems. The message, "If only swtichboards grew on trees!" It shows a U. S. Marine setting up a telephone swtichboard n an island "somewhere in the Pacific."
This type of advertising was common during World War II – a way for businesses to advertise and still support the troops!
The reverse side features advertising for many, many Military Institutions and Academies throughout the U. S. All ads geared to the training of more men for the war effort.
The page measures 6 7/8" x 10". It is in very good condition and ready for matting and framing - no rips or tears other than the binding edge where the page was removed from the binding staples. There is some minor wear to the corners. The left lower corner of the Bell ad has been bent. The page could also be laminated so both sides can be enjoyed.
Please include $2.00 for shipping in the U.S. Add an additional $1.65 if you want the item insured.
