This is a cover from Time Magazine dated February 13, 1989.
The headline read, "The Velvet Hammer – Secretary of State, James Baker, is a gentleman who hates to lose." The cover features a picture of Mr. Baker.
The smaller headline is "Tom Wolfe: Master of His Universe."
The cover is in very good condition with some minor wear to the edges. Sorry about the address label! I tried several methods to remove the labels from these covers without damaging them – but alas, nothing worked. The right border of this cover is smaller than usual as this cover was a fold-out. The back portion has been removed.
This might make a nice framed birthday gift for someone born on the above date!
