They Needed A Song Bird In Heaven by George A. Little
for item Music97
This is a nice vintage piece of sheet music titled "The Needed A Song Bird In Heaven (So God Took Caruso Away)." The lyrics are by George A. Little and the music is by Jack Stanley. George Walter Brown suggested the idea for this song. Jack Mills, Inc. of New York published the music that has a 1921 copyright. The front cover has a picture of Caruso on it.
Included with the music samples of other sheet music available from the same company. A Chorus is included for the song "My Little Sister Mary" by Edgar Leslie and Pete Wendling. A Chorus of "Bobbie" by Sid Caine and I. Jay Faggen is also included.
Considering its age, the music is in good condition. The cover has some wear to the edges and corners. The upper right corner is torn and there is a small tear on the outer edge of the cover and interior pages. There is a split at the top folded edge about three inches. The interior pages are clean with no writing.
