Ad - Quaker Oats Company - Kelly Springfield Tires
for item Ad101
This is an advertisement from April, 1920, for The Quaker Oats Company. The ad features Puffed Wheat, Puffed Rice and Corn Puffs cereal.
The reverse side features advertising for Kelly-Springfield Tires in the form of a cartoon. L. Fellows drew the cartoon. The scene shows a woman standing in water – trying not to ruin her shoes. She is shaming Henry Wilson for his "awful language," and reminding him that the situation is his fault for using a cheap tire instead of a Kelly-Springfield.
The page measures 6 7/8" x 10". It is in very good condition and ready for matting and framing - no rips or tears other than the binding edge where the page was removed from the binding staples. The page could also be laminated so both sides can be enjoyed. Both sides have some light smudges caused by the print on adjoining pages – normal for printed items of this age.
