This a very nice song book titled "Songs Of Stephen Foster." The song book was prepared for schools and general use. Will Earhart, Director of Music in the Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Edward B. Birge, Professor of Music at Indiana University, edited and arranged the songs. The University Of Pittsburgh Press published the book. The original copyright is 1934. This is a 1964 printing.
The book begins with a nice picture of Stephen Foster (1826-1864) and a short biography of his life. The next pages are "Suggestions For Arrangement Of Voices" for each of the songs in the book.
A nice addition to the book is a copy of the original handwritten manuscript for the song "Old Folks At Home."
