This is the one catalog that we, as adults, could hardly wait to get our hands on. It was the Christmas catalog for which we used to anxiously await every holiday season. This is the 1972 Christmas Book from Neiman Marcus Department Store.
Every year Neiman’s would present their catalog of expensive goodies. Even though most items were out of reach for some of us, it was fun to see what was available for the shopping elite.
Of special interest would always be the custom designed "His and Hers" gifts. In 1972, the gifts were "over the top." For a mere $3,000 each, you could order a full-dimensional, life-size facsimile of yourself and your favorite other person. The "companions" were programmed to laugh and say "thank you" in any language of your choosing – all with a remote control. See the photo for a closer look at this unusual gift.

The catalog is in good condition – inside and out. There is some minor wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears.
