This is a very lovely little book – all dedicated to Mother! The title is "What is a Mother?" by Helen Farries. The beautiful illustrations are by Eva Diana Luke. Gibson, a Division of Gibson Greeting Cards, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio, published the book that has a 1972 copyright.
All pages in the book are done is nice pastel pink. The inside covers are papered in an array of beautiful daisies, roses and other flowers. Each two pages in the book tells of the different job titles a mother carries and the things she does for her children – each illustrated with 70ish style drawings that will remind you of simpler times!
The book is in excellent condition – inside and out. The interior pages are extremely clean with no dog-ears. The first inside page does have a "To" and "From" area that has been filled in neatly in ink. There is no other writing or damage to the book.
This would make a perfect gift for a new Mother on Mother’s Day!
