This is a vintage book published by Whittlesey House of New York and London. The book has a 1945 copyright. This is a third printing.
The book includes information on how to select, outfit and handle small sail and power craft for in-shore and off-shore cruising. Included in the book are 55 photographs and 11 line drawings.
The dust jacket is present, but torn and tattered - very poor condition. There are pieces missing and the back has torn away from the front portion of the dust jacket. The hardback cover is in good condition. There is wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are clean - no writing or dog-ears. They have darkened slightly due to age, but are not brittle. There are a couple of small stains on the lower edge of the closed pages. These have not penetrated the interior of the pages.Despite the wear to this vintage book, it would make a great piece of memorabilia to a sailing enthusiast!
