This book is a very unusual find. It is an auction catalog of items belonging to Karl Freund Arts, Inc. and other owners that were to be auctioned on February 19, 1938. The title of the auction book is "Art For The Garden." American Art Association – Anderson Galleries, Inc. of New York published the book and I am guessing were also handling the auction of these items.This book is truly a glimpse of mid-1990’s garden art. The book has a description of each item in the auction – including the measurements. Many photographs of items are included, among them wrought iron chairs and gates, statues, fountains, planters and other items of interest. The book is in good condition – inside and out. The outer cover has turned dark around the edges due to age. There is some minor wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are very clean – no writing or dog-ears. There are 63 pages.
