This is a rare find indeed! This is a First Edition – First Printing of a music book titled “A Treasury Of Stephen Foster.” Deems Taylor wrote the Forward in the book and the historical notes are by John Tasker Howard. The beautiful illustrations are by William Sharp. Ray Lev and Dorothy Berliner Commins did the arrangements for piano. The copyright is 1946.

Considering its age, the book is in very good condition – inside and out. The outer dust jacket has much wear to the edges and corners. There are also many small tears and chipping on the dust jacket. The hardback cover is in good condition with some light wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. The book is large – measuring approximately 9x12” in size. It has 222 pages.

This beautiful book would make a great gift for one who enjoys the songs of the past!
