This is a great cookbook titled “The Talisman Italian Cookbook” by Ada Boni. The front cover states, “The famous complete guide to Italian cookery, covering all notable dishes in the various styles: Milanese, Bolognese, Venetian, Neapolitan, Sicilian, Roman, Etc.
The book was translated and augmented by Matilde Pei. The introduction is by Professor Mario A. Pei. This book is a special edition printed for Ronzoni Macroni Company, Inc. Crown Publishers, Inc. of New York published the book that has a copyright of 1950/1955.

The center of the cookbook has two color pages of advertising of Ronzoni products followed by four pages of illustrations showing the name and different types of pasta.
The hardback book is in good condition. The hard back cover has wear to the edges and corners. The interior pages are very clean – no writing or dog-ears. The first inside blank page has “chicken tetrazzinni – page 136” written on it – no doubt a favorite recipe of a previous owner. The book has 268 pages plus the indexes.
