This is a nice book of poems titled “Harbor Lights Of Home” by Edgar A. Guest. At the beginning of the book, it tells how the title of the book came to be.

In May, 1928, Mr. Guest’s publishers offered a $1,000 prize for the best title of Mr. Guest’s ninth book of verse. Nearly half a million suggested titles were submitted. Reverend M. S. Rice won the prize.

The Reilly & Lee Company of Chicago published the book that has a copyright of 1928.

The book is in excellent condition – inside and out. The navy blue hardback cover is in very good condition with no wear. The interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. The book measures approximately 4 1/2”x6 3/4” and has 185 pages plus index pages.

This book is in exceptional condition – especially considering it’s age. It would make a great gift for a person that enjoys poetry!
