This is a vintage cookbook titled “Lone Star Gas Company’s War Time Canning Booklet.” The recipes and instructions were approved by Albertine Berry, Home Economics Director for Lone Star Gas Company. The book was published during World War II.

The cookbook has complete instructions on the containers to use. Also included are hints and tips on canning different types of food along with processing times. The inside back cover has an illustration of Uncle Sam saying, “Eat the Right Foods” with a chart of the seven food groups. The back cover reminds us to buy War Savings Bonds.
The cookbook is in good condition. The outer cover has some light, very light stains on it. The interior pages are very clean – no writing or dog-ears. There are 34 pages.
This is a nice piece of memorabilia!
