This is a very nice cookbook titled “Adventures in French Cooking – Authentic French Dishes for the Modern American Cook” by Myriam Guidroz. The book includes selected heirloom recipes – easy to prepare, a joy to serve and a delight to eat. There are also menus for family and guests. This is a rare find – a First Edition with a copyright of 1970.
Some of the recipes include:
* Creamed Lettuce
* Lemon-stuffed Broiled Chicken
* Apple Hedgehog
* Onion (or Leek) Pie
* Shrimp-filled Tomatoes
* Pheasant or Duck in Salmis
* French Baked Beans
* Chocolate Souffle
* And many more
The book is in excellent condition – inside and out. The hardback cover is in excellent condition with the slightest wear to the edges and corners. The dust jacket has wear and tears on the edges and corners. The are also some missing chips on the edges. It has done a very good job of protecting the book itself. The interior pages are “like new” clean – no writing or dog-ears. The book has 374 pages including the index.
I would consider this book gift quality without the dust jacket.
The book is too heavy to send by First Class mail. I can ship by Priority, Parcel Post or Media Mail. Please let me know your preference and I will quote shipping when a purchase order is received.
