This is a great vintage cookbook titled "The Best of Near Eastern Cookery” by Ann Seranne and Eileen Gaden. The cookbook includes favorite dishes from the Balkans, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other countries of the Arabian Peninsula. The copyright is 1964.

The cookbook is in good condition – inside and out. The outer dust jacket has some wear to the surface, edges and corners. The outer hardback cover is in good condition with some wear to the corners and edges. The outer book and jacket have been wet at one time. The lower cover has water stains on the front and back. The jacket has water stains that can only be seen on the inside of the jacket. The bottom of the book has a little warping from the moisture. There are water stains on the inside of both the front and back cover. All interior pages are extremely clean – no writing or dog-ears. There are a couple of small stains on two blank pages to the back of the cookbook. The cookbook has 158 pages including the indexes.
The interior of the book is very clean. The water damage seems to have been confined to the cover and jacket, however, I like to give a full disclosure of any damage to my items.
