THIS LOVELY HANDPAINTED TEAPOT HAS THE SATSUMA LOGO ON THE BOTTOM. The rust band around the lid and at the base are such elegant accent for the colorful PEACOCK who sits amongst the flowers on both the front and back. SIZE is 5" in height and 5" diameter. There is a bamboo handle that is wired to the holes in the PORCELAIN. They actually stick up above the teapot. The lid is small, about 2 1/2", and also has painted flower on it. FRAGILE AND DELICATE THIS HAND PAINTED CUP and SAUCER set is such a blessing. This lightweight china has pink and burgundy flowers and a few green leaves. The edge is covered with a very thin layer of a dark color. SIZE of the saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter. The cup is 3 3/4" diameter. CONDITION is very good. The top edge of the cup is a little rough, but it seems to be from the paint rather than abuse. A lovely addition to your CUP and SAUCER collection!
