LADDIE IS ANOTHER ROMANTIC STORY with scenes in Indiana, written by Gene Stratton Porter. This book contains a mixture of romance and nature just as her other fiction books did and introduced nature objects peculiar to the area. She felt it was important to show sentiment and high ideals in all of her books. This particular book is one of the MEMORIAL EDITION books that were published in 1926 by Doubleday, Page and Company.They all had blue covers and included LADDIE, HER FATHER'S DAUGHTER, THE WHITE FLAG, GIRL OF THE LIMBERLOST AND OTHERS.
