THIS GOVERNMENT PRINTED TRAVEL BROCHURE features the Fort Necessity National Battlefield Site in Pennsylvania during the French and Indian War 1754-1755. The brochure was printed in 1945 and pictures the Mount Washington Tavern and State museum, reconstructed palisade on the site of Fort Necessity in the little valley of Great meadows. There is a lot of historical information about George Washington in command of British colonial militia. There is a map of NE US during that time period, black and white pictures of George as a Colonel in the Virginia Militia, Fort Duquesne, Braddock Road, monument to Maj. Gen. Edward Braddock, Jumonville's Glen, etc. Very interesting brochure. SIZE is 8" X 10 1/2" with 16 pages. CONDITION is Very Good with just a few slight crinkles from gentle use.
