THIS VINTAGE PEACE DALE KNITTING BOOK COMES FROM THE PEACE DALE MILLS IN PEACE DALE, RHODE ISLAND. It is a rare Vol. No. VI published in 1923 with garments illustrated in the latest fashions from New York shops. They had eleven different grades of Peace Dale Yarn: Sicilian floss, 4-ply Sicillian worsted, Iceland, Arolian floss, Veronian worsted, 4-ply Germantown, man's sweater yarn, Saxony, Shetland floss, Scotch yarn, and stocking yarn. There are 60 pages of awesome mostly winter warm fashions including knitted box coat and hat, coat sweater trimmed in cross stitch, hat and scarf of brushed wool, Lake Placid skating set, knitted slip-on of extreme simplicity, fashionable Jacquette for fall, paisley slip-on with football shoulder, crochet coat sweater for the stout women, mannish waistcoat sweater for the stout woman, attractively patterned sweater for the stout woman, sleeveless golf slip-on, tuxedo sweater, evening scarf, living room table runner, crib blanket, afghan in mosaic, jaunty stocking cap and scarf, girls vestee, knitted middy for girls, baby's dainty set in fishnet, doll's skating set, boy's sturdy sweater, man's v-neck, man's sports vest, etc. Two small paper included are an order form for yarn, as well as a note saying they were issuing the buyer 15 cent credit. SIZE is 7 1/4" X 9 3/4". CONDITION is good though the cover is torn a little at the staples and there are some tiny chews at the bottom of the first 10 pages as well as the last two or three.
