This is an older Murano dish from the era when gold flecks was used in their beautiful creations. A very attractive design of the edge and combined with the gold an abstract shape of grey tones scattered throughout. Murano glass is highly collectible and a thing of beauty. Here we have a round desktop Barracat Paperweight. Different design but very adaptable to office work. There a 4 hollowed out areas where small objects can be placed. Measures 4.75" across x 1.5" high. Etched on the bottom is the Baccarat France logo. It has a very small bite on the bottom rim. This great looking BLENKO owl stands 7 1/8 tall by 5 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" thick. Blenko made these owls in bookends. I am not sure if this is part of that set or if they also made paperweights as this owl is not exactly a copy of the bookend owls. It is in excellent condition free from any chips or damage but it does have some air bubbles that were trapped in the glass. You can see one in the photo in the eye of the owl. Another Murano example of more recent times. Not very old but just as beautiful is this Yellow glass candy/nut or whatever you wish to use it for dish. It has 2 crimped sides with a scallop around the reat of the rim. There are white, red and blue swirls of color in the glass. Measures 6.25" across by 2.75" high. Pilgrim Glass Co. of West Virginia although not well known has produced some of the finest art glass often mistaken as produced by others such as Blenco. Very hard to identify but I was lucky to find this piece still retaining the original sticker. It measures 3 5/8" tall by 3" across. I believe this piece was produced in the 1950's. This is a larger and heavier than normal paperweight. Polished bottom with some vintage as there are bubbles in the piece. Colors are blue, orange, yellow and white. It is missing the Murano paper sticker but I would definitely call it Murano. I would date it as pre 1980. Measures 5" tall by 3.25 " across. Condition is excellent. This hand made blown glass bud vase is a work of art. The inside of the vase is a shade of pink (glare from camera flash does not let the true pink show), while the outside is in the color orange. There is a continuous ring of clear glass with an attractive design around the bottom section and the rim has a very well done crimping. All in all a very beautiful example of modern art glass.
