A smaller than normal size and what I would call in between a demitasse and regular Shelley cup & saucer in the Violets pattern. Shelley is known as the elite and most collectible in English Bone China. This beautiful set has purple flowers and delicate lavender trim and handle. I cannot identify the shape but it is very similar to the dainty but without the flute shape. From the famous area of England where some of the better porcelain and ceramic treasures were made came this beautiful chintz serving plate. Blue green backgound with gold trim and multi colored flowers this mint condition plate measures 10 inches across at the handle portion. An early edition of this plate "The Squire" by Royal Doulton. This was called the Professionals series and was made between 1909 and 1975. You will see most with his coat being green. This was an earlier edition with the brown coat. The plate measures 10 1/2 inches across. It has some crazing but otherwise is in excellant condition.
