Vernon Kilns of California produced this beautiful pattern called Home Spun between 1949 and 1958. This is a large pitcher with ice lip with off white background and rust, green and yellow stripes. Desert Rose was first introduced in 1941 by Gladding, McBean and Co. I am offering this hard to find vintage footed compote. It measures 8 inches across by 4 inches high and is in mint condition. Marked on the bottom with the numerals 149.

If you collect teapots, Franciscan Cafe Royal is a very hard to find teapot with both pieces. I assume they did not make many of this pattern as very little information is known about when it was first produced. I can only guess it was about 1941 when apple and desert rose came on the market. It has the script style F which is the abbreviated U.S.A. mark that identifies this piece as Franciscan dinnerware dishwasher and microwave safe. It is in excellent condition. Franciscan Desert Rose pattern 1/4 pound butter dish & cover. It has the early mark that dates the piece between 1953 & 1958. It measures at the base 7 1/2 inches across by 3 1/2 inches high including the rose bud. It is in perfect condition with bright sharp colors and not showing any signs of wear.
