Mego was better known for their action figures but they also made dolls. This is one of their creations that did not produce any great sales. For that reason it is a rare find and especially never out of the box. Doll is mint but box has seen better days. She has a hard plastic body with soft rubber head. The Wal-Feld Co. of New York made these beautiful musical dolls about the 1940's until 1950's. She is hard plastic with sleep eyes and a maroon and gold gown. Although taken out of the box at some time I do not believe she was ever played with. Very similar to the early sweetheart dolls except she is on a metal base that is her music box. The box has some wear but is still in very good condition although the cellophane has some tears. The doll is made of hard plastic and is still attached to the box.
