I believe this is a pre 1980 Seminole Doll. It has the simple decorations which is common for that period. These dolls are still made and sold at the Seminole stores in South Florida but are now made with more elaborate trimmings. It also has the old style beads. This offering is for a very old Cloisonne vase with a dragon design. This piece dates to approx. 1930's. The workmanship and quality of the cloisonne is in a simple term beautiful. Offering this hardwood carving of an African Native. The artist name is carved on the bottom "R. Simeon". It measures 12.5" tall and approx. 7" across. Very fine example of ethnic art. Originally purchased at an estate sale at a private home. The previous owner was a collector of this type of ethnic art that had been brought back from trips to Africa.
