From WW2 era when the women's branch of the Navy (Waves) was first introduced I am offering this 10kt gold and sterling ring. It is size 8 and manufactured by Jostens the company that makes most of these military pieces. The emblem of an anchor and propellers as well as both sides with the "WAVES" lettering is in gold. An all original photo of the USS Michigan Battleship that was built in 1906. It was commissioned in 1910 and scraped in 1924 and has a long history of honorable service. This rare photo was taken in 1916 in Hampton Virginia by famous photographer O.W.Waterman who photographed many of these ship pictures.
