Women's Hand Painted Dresden Vanity Tray. The mark on this tray identifies it as being a Richard Klemm piece that was produced between 1886 & 1916. The border has a raised scalloped edge with gold trim surrounding the hand painted flowers. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this piece of belleek originally held a candle. It was issued with a candle inside but obviously the candle has been used in this piece. It resembles a rag style purse and measures 2 3/4 inches high by 3 1/2 inches across. It has marked on the bottom the early green belleek of ireland mark. Condition is excellent. This finely crafted small porcelain basket was made in England by Carlton Ware. It bears the mark that dates the piece between 1929 and 1972. I am not sure of the pattern but it has the same outside base deep reddish color and glaze as Rouge Royale.
