Two hand carved old soapstone pieces. You decide their use, book ends or whatever. They would look great where ever they are used. They each measure 4" x 5" x 1.5". I am showing a couple of areas that are missing a very small area. I do not think that they are chips but when carved the material was not quite large enough. They are not really noticeable. I would grade both pieces as in very fine condition and age them between 1950 to 1960. See all the many other great listings I ha ...click for details

Offering this water pitcher from the late 1880's. This usually came with a basin and I'm sure this one did also. Not many survived over the years. This is a large heavy piece in light green with roses and gold trim. Except for some minor wear on the gold trim around the rim it is in excellent condition. Measures 13.5" tall x 10" across. It has a raised mark in the mold but I am unable to make any information out of it. Many of these pieces were never marked. See my enlargement ...click for details
