This offering is a heavy metal dog image nutcracker. Weighs almost 7 pounds. The dog is 2 metal sections that are screwed together with the tail mechanism that opens the bottom section of the dog mouth. The final dog figure is screwed to a 7.5" x 3.5" base. The metal has been silver or nickle plated. It is not signed but has the numeral 3 on the bottom. Dog measures 11" long x 4.5" high x 1.75" deep. Circa estimate 1950's or earlier...

This piece is marked on the bottom with their logo and "Gerold Porzellan Bavaria" in green and also "Germany" in gold. It also has incised the number 6122.
