Pilgrim Glass Co. of West Virginia although not well known has produced some of the finest art glass often mistaken as produced by others such as Blenco. Very hard to identify but I was lucky to find this piece still retaining the original sticker. It measures 3 5/8" tall by 3" across. I believe this piece was produced in the 1950's. This brooch/pin has a gold toned setting with a round porcelain center of a young couple sitting under a tree in a Victorian scene. At the bottom is written "Fragonard". Fragonard was a famous French painter in the 1700's and was noted for this type of scene. The back is marked in gold inside a crown logo "LIMOGES made in FRANCE, VERITABLE PORCELAIN D'ART". Offering this heavy sterling change purse from the 1930's or earlier. It has a mirror on one side that can be opened exposing a money clip behind. On the other side it has 2 coin holders for a 5 cent and 10 cent piece. And under that section another compartment for either change or whatever and marked on the inside "W Sterling 712". There is a short chain probably to put around the wrist. The outside has an oval to be used for a monogram and the design of what I believe they call tuxedo lines...
